Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)
Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) is a time-traveling, visually wild ride that dives deeper into Wonderland’s madness — and into the hearts of its most iconic characters. It’s not just about tea parties and riddles anymore. This sequel takes risks, and while not all of them land, it still delivers plenty of magic and meaning 🌈🕰️.
Alice returns to Wonderland to save the Mad Hatter, who’s losing himself to grief and fading away (yes, it’s emotional 😢). To help him, she has to steal the Chronosphere — basically time itself — and journey through the past to uncover painful truths about the Hatter, the Red Queen, and even Time as a person (played brilliantly by Sacha Baron Cohen).
Visually, it’s stunning. The time-travel sequences, costume design, and surreal landscapes are pure eye candy. But it’s the theme that really shines: time isn’t your enemy, it’s something to respect, learn from, and cherish 🌀❤️.
Mia Wasikowska remains a strong, curious Alice, and Johnny Depp adds a new layer of vulnerability to the Hatter. It’s a little chaotic, yes, but Wonderland is chaos.
If you love fantasy with heart, emotion, and style, this adventure is worth taking — even through the looking glass ✨🪞🎩
